Local Dog Walks

The Cotswolds offers some of the most beautiful walking country in England, and it's all right on your doorstep. From gentle valley strolls to more challenging hill climbs, there's something for every dog and owner. The village of Far Oakridge sits at the heart of a network of public footpaths and bridleways, many of which you can access directly from the cottage.

The cottage backs directly onto Trillis Banks nature reserve, a beautiful hidden grassland valley managed by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. The reserve was originally attached to the cottage, and it's home to hazel dormice and limestone grassland flowers. Dogs are welcome on the reserve but must be kept on leads to protect the wildlife. The valley connects to woodland trails and the Holy Brook, and deer and foxes are regular visitors.
